CBT and EMDR supervision and mentoring
Hello colleagues! For those looking for supervision, I can provide supportive, reliable and up to date supervision for both CBT and EMDR. Whether you are training, newly qualified or have many years experience under your belt, I can help with your individual supervision requirements.
During the 15 years I worked within NHS funded services, I frequently supervised psychological well being practitioners, CBT therapists and EMDR therapists. I have also regularly supervised private therapists and provided mentoring for those starting out in private practice. I began my training in EMDR in 2015 and have been accredited since 2019.
In addition to my EMDR qualifications over the last 10 years, in 2025 I completed my EMDR consultancy training and am in the process of completing the practical elements of this course. I am therefore currently classed as a consultant in training.
My style is relaxed and none judgemental. I aim to provide a safe space to reflect, for example around learning and developing skills, or exploring interpersonal difficulties arising in the therapeutic relationship.
My therapeutic approach is formulation informed and procedural. I follow NICE recommended protocols and can provide you with an excellent grounding in the basics of CBT and EMDR which you can rely on again and again. As I have had many years of experience in therapy, I can provide experienced insight into client presentations and potential stuck points.
This field is constantly evolving and growing and it is our duty as therapists to stay up to date with research and ideas. As an accredited practitioner I ensure that I continue my own professional development and learning.
Testimonial
‘Working with Sarah as my CBT supervisor has been an invaluable part of my development as a therapist. Sarah is exceptionally knowledgeable, and she consistently adapted her supervisory approach to suit my learning style and clinical needs. She struck a thoughtful balance between skills development and clinical oversight, creating a space where I felt both supported and encouraged to develop. Our sessions have significantly strengthened my confidence as a CBT therapist, and her guidance has shaped the way I think about my own future practice. I hope to grow into a supervisor with the same clarity, compassion, and skill that Sarah brings to her work.'
